Interests

I am curious about a wide range of topics, which led me to pursue my first career in investments. I started my career covering the utilities and alternative energy sectors, and then transitioned into a generalist role, investing in companies ranging from biotech to semiconductor companies to tea chains.

Around 2024, I became seriously interested in neuroscience and increasingly fascinated by the human brain. I am particularly interested in non-invasive brain-computer interfaces and have decided that my ultimate goal is to become a leader in the field who creates devices that can treat diseases and improve people’s quality of life.

To prepare for this transition, I started pursuing a part-time master’s degree in Neuroengineering at Johns Hopkins University while working as an investment analyst at a hedge fund. I have spent much of my time reading, learning, and building new projects, and it's been a lot of fun!

Hobbies

Basketball is my main sport, and I try to play every week. The 2013–14 San Antonio Spurs are my all-time favorite team (Go Spurs Go!). I also enjoy watching baseball, even though I can barely play it...

Outside of sports, I watch a lot of movies, TV, and YouTube. Some of my favorites are Fight Club, Breaking Bad, and The Slow Mo Guys.

When I get longer breaks, I try to travel as much as possible to experience different cultures. South America and Africa are the continents, aside from Antarctica, that I haven’t explored yet, and I hope to visit both soon!
